PDF/Printing Notes

There is a huge discrepancy between how notes appear when I print them (they look great! But they lack any patient identifiers making it hard to share with other physicians.) and when I download a PDF (they look TERRIBLE but at least there is some identifying information). Can there be some way to make printed notes and PDFs appear somewhat similar (ideally maintaining formatting) while also including identifying information?

We've improved how PDFs work across print, fax, and exports for a more consistent, predictable experience.
📄 Unified formatting
Print, fax, and PDF workflows now use the same format. You can also print directly from the file viewer with your practice logo applied, no download required, helping reduce unnecessary PHI downloads to your computer.
✨ Cleaner spacing
Elements like the clinician's e-signature and date used to appear with extra spacing, making documents look less polished. Spacing now matches the on-screen note for a cleaner, more professional PDF.
👤 Consistent provider name
PDFs now always show the patient's assigned provider. This is especially helpful for multi-provider practices where you only want the assigned PCP to appear on the PDF.

We’ve updated the margins on PDF exports to better use available space and improve readability. Previously, a large portion of the right side of the page went unused, creating an unbalanced layout. With this update, content now fills the page more evenly for a cleaner, more polished export.

Bring back attention to this. I didn't realize that the notes don't have time stamps or track the electronic signature, I ended up having to go back to all of my notes for a patient and adding this for an FMLA case. I currently have a template for my progress notes that puts my signature and time and date etc, but this is easily manipulated.

We’ve improved how visit notes and patient charts are formatted when exported to PDF. By tightening up spacing and removing unnecessary gaps, these exports now look cleaner and more polished, making them easier to share with patients or specialists when needed.

YES! the way notes are printed vs pdf vs fax need to be identical! This should be a high priority fix.
I often download PDF and then fax because the format is so much more professional.
patient identifiers are missing
I've had notes rejected by other providers because they don't have the date and time of the e-signature rendered either.
