We are requesting a privacy‑protection feature that allows clinics to lock patient charts when the patient is related to or personally connected to a staff member.

Current issue:

All staff can currently open any chart, which creates privacy risks when a staff member’s family member or close acquaintance receives care.

Requested functionality:

Add a field during patient registration asking whether they are related to any clinic staff.

If yes, the chart becomes restricted.

Any staff attempting to access the chart must manually re‑enter their password (or use 2FA).

Access attempts are logged for privacy auditing.

Optional setting to block access entirely for specific staff members when appropriate.

Goal:

Reduce HIPAA exposure, protect patient privacy, and ensure staff cannot access charts of family members or individuals with personal connections.
